Re:Venues: the Importance and Impact of Live Music Venues
Welcome to the Re:Venues Survey!
With your help, the Canadian Live Music Association, in partnership with the City of Toronto, the City of Hamilton and Nordicity, will be able to demonstrate the economic contributions and impact stimulated by live music venues. Whether you represent an established music venue or hold events in a non-traditional space, we hope you will share your information and expertise with us!
The survey questionnaire should take between
20 and 30 minutes to complete
. It is best undertaken by someone with knowledge of your venue's operations and finances (such as the owner/proprietor or accountant).
To help you prepare your answers, you'll need access to information about:
When your venue is open and its capacity
The performances your venue has hosted over the last 12 months (e.g., genres, typical attendance, etc.)
Revenue generated by your venue
Money spent by your venue to operate
The people your venue employs
All your responses will be held confidentially
by Nordicity (on secure, Canadian-based servers). Individual responses will never be shared with the Canadian Live Music Association, the City of Toronto, the City of Hamilton or anyone else.
If you have any issues or challenges with the questionnaire, please contact Kristian Roberts of Nordicity at
In which city is your venue located?
Hamilton (incl. Ancaster, Dundas, Stoney Creek, and Waterdown)
